IN – ON – AT
IN
– usamos o “in” para meses, anos, séculos e longos períodos.
Her birthday is in September.
(O aniversário dela é em setembro.)
My daughter was born in 2000.
(Minha filha nasceu em 2000.)
The film is set in the next century.
(O filme se passa no próximo século.)
We will meet again in summer.
(Vamos nos encontrar de novo no
verão.)
ON
– usamos o “on” para dias da semana e datas.
The meeting is on November 17th.
(A reunião é em 17 de novembro.)
The party is on Friday.
(A festa é na sexta-feira.)
Americans usually have
a barbecue on Independence Day.
(Os americanos normalmente fazem churrasco no
Dia da Independência.)
AT – usamos o “at” para horas e um tempo preciso.
The class starts at three o’clock.
(A aula começa às três horas.)
I usually read a book at bed time.
(Eu normalmente leio um livro na hora
de dormir.)

Simples!
Porém, em inglês, nunca usamos uma
preposição antes de NEXT e LAST. Sendo assim, dizemos:
She will move next year.
(Ela vai se mudar no ano que vem.)
She moved last year.
(Ela se mudou no ano passado.)
