O SIMPLE
I LOVED you
very much. (Eu amava muito você)
She WORKED alone. (Ela trabalhou
sozinha)
FORMAS
DE USO DO SIMPLE PAST
Usar o SIMPLE
Verb: TO DANCE
They danceD
all night at that party.
(Eles dançaram a
noite toda naquela festa.)
“I” e acrescenta-se “ED”.
Verb: TO TRY
We trIED to
study English.
(Nós tentamos estudar
Inglês.)
Mas se o verbo terminar em VOGAL + Y, apenas acrescenta-se “ED”.
Verb: TO PLAY
My brother playED
the guitar with her sister yesterday.
AFFIRMATIVE FORM:
sujeito + passado do verbo principal.
MY TEACHER LOVED ME. (MINHA PROFESSORA ME AMAVA.)
MY FATHER WROTE A LETTER TO HIS FRIEND. (MEU PAI
ESCREVEU UMA CARTA AO SEU AMIGO.)
NEGATIVE FORM: sujeito
+ did + not (forma contraída: didn’t) + verbo principal.
MY TEACHER DID NOT (DIDN’T) LOVE ME.
MY FATHER DID NOT (DIDN’T) WRITE A LETTER TO HIS FRIEND.
INTERROGATIVE FORM:
Auxiliar DID + sujeito + verbo principal (na sua forma do infinitivo).
DID MY TEACHER LOVE ME?
DID MY FATHER WRITE A LETTER TO HIS FRIEND?
